What I do

My primary areas of practice are estate administration, estate planning, trust administration and residential conveyancing.  I also have a good knowledge of Retirement Village Occupation Right Agreements.

I enjoy having variety in my work and get great satisfaction in helping my clients work through a transaction.

How I like to work with clients

I like to establish good communication with clients and ensure that they feel comfortable contacting me with any concerns.  I like to establish what the client wants to achieve from a transaction so that we can work together to get that result.

As I do a lot of estate administration work, a lot of my clients are vulnerable and unsure how to manage matters after losing a loved one.  I like to ensure that the clients can rely on me to take care of matters in their best interests.

My approach to client service

Every client is different and will have a different approach to dealing with matters.  It is important to me that I am on the same page as my clients and we work together to ensure the clients get their desired result.

Estate administration work can be a lengthy process and I like to keep my clients informed of all aspects so that they understand the process and feel comfortable with all decisions along the way.  It can be a very stressful time and I strive to keep that stress at a minimum so that the clients can grieve their loved ones without the worry of legal matters.

What I like doing after hours

After work I enjoy spending time with my partner Eoin, my son Cody and my daughter Isla.  To keep fit I play indoor netball but nothing beats curling up in the sun with a good book.  I also enjoy visiting my parents in Nelson several times a year.
