What I do
I am a commercial, property and employment law specialist. Most of my clients are business owners requiring general business, commercial, property or employment law advice.
Some of the work includes sales and purchases of businesses, advice on commercial leases, dealing with personal grievances at Mediation, Employment Relations Authority or Employment Court level and assisting with property transactions such as subdivisions, acquisitions and sales of property.
Prior to joining MDS Law in December 2021, I held the role of managing partner in another property and commercial law firm in Christchurch before founding First Law in 2016 which merged with MDS Law in December 2021.
How I like to work with clients
I am always happy to work in whatever way suits my clients. The key for me is to ensure the advice is timely and actionable.
As a former police officer, I am inquisitive by nature and thus many clients enjoy running ideas past me for honest feedback before they require formal legal input.
My approach to client service
Being effective and responsive.
What I like doing out of the office
I enjoy playing the drums and collecting 1980’s punk and ska vinyl. Not many people know I was lead singer and part time drummer for post-punk band Asprin-5. ( we never made it past demo tapes…)
I try to keep fit in the gym lifting weights and pushing the limits on the erg machine.
My mother being French, I have a penchant for quality French red wine and gourmet food.
Languages
