What I do
I practice in many fields including property law, commercial law, conveyancing as well as trust management and estate administration.
In recent years, particularly since the Canterbury Earthquakes I have provided advice to many clients on their insurance issues and negotiations with their insurer.
I also hold an interest in and practice in the hospitality field and act for a number of prominent parties in this industry. This often involves advice on leasing, employment issues and management of their business.
I am actively involved in charitable organisations and I am Treasurer of the Christchurch Kidney Society. I also am the solicitor for the Christchurch Collective for the Homeless Charitable Trust.
How I like to work with clients
I like to think that clients have both a business and personal relationship with me.
I strive to maintain a high standard of professionalism in dealing with my clients and am conscious at all times that my clients have a need for prompt and correct advice and a fair and reasonable fee.
What I like doing outside work
I am blessed to have five children who live in various parts of the world and in the rest of my spare time I am a passionate follower of golf and cricket.
In recent years I have followed my family’s interest in fiction writing and I have written two thriller fiction books which will culminate in a final third novel to finish the trilogy.
